Why am I promoting eBooks?
I realize that some of you enjoy the feel of turning pages. Don't worry, Chacachacare and Dark Trader will be available in softcover sometime this September / October. Having said this the purpose of this website is to promote my eBooks.
Authors write for many different reasons and about many different subjects. What most authors have in common is a passion for writing.They're driven by an insatiable need to express their feelings and emotions about people and life. Every author has a desire to reach out and touch as many people as possible. Electronic books are a new and growing medium that allows both new and seasoned author's to reach out directly to an ever increasing number of readers. With the development of new software technology it's now possible for an author to sell books on Kindle, Nook, Sony ebook, and many more.
Why would I want to branch out on my own to publish ebooks along with the traditional hard and soft cover books I've authored in the past. Well, by having total independance to set price and not having to settle for a low royalty I can reduce the cost of my books by more than 75% and still not loose money or not much anyhow. Here's the greatest benefit of all, by reducing the cost it's my hope to encourage more readers to read my books.
I recognize that reader's won't just purchase a book because it's inexpensive. Afterall, why would anyone waste their valuable time on a poorly written book. While you're here go to the Video Gallery on the side panel and see the Chacachacare video presentation that describes the story. If you're still interested you can read or listen to an audio chapter on the Samples page. My first eBooks, Chacachacare and Rising Above the Wave are available now. Go to the website page, Book Orders and click on the link to take you to an eBook distributor. Dark Trader will become available in eBook the later part of 2011. The Land of Men will be revised and published in eBook format sometime in 2012.
